Most of my non-yarn crafts on here are oil related. So let’s talk oils!

They’re amazing. I love them. They’ve been a huge part of my descent into more natural living aaand I have a lot of them.

I get my oils from Young Living, where I am also an independent distributor. There are a lot of places and companies you can get essential oils, but I get mine exclusively from Young Living. Why? Well I’ll tell you.

The biggest reason is their Seed to Seal method – it’s a process and a promise. Young Living distills their oils from plants they’ve grown on owned or partner-owned farms, and at distillation centers they own and operate. They take care of your oils from the first sprout to packaging it up for you in the bottle – seed to seal! They are 100% responsible for the purity of their oils. There is no question on the content or quality of their products, and they stand behind them fully. I did a LOT of research before choosing Young Living, and I stand behind them.

So how do you buy essential oils from Young Living? Yes, Young Living is a distributor-based company. But no, you do not have to front costs or sell products EVER. There are two ways you can make purchases: as a retail member, or a wholesale member. To become a retail member, you just sign up for a retail account here, like you would on Amazon. That’s it! Sign in and start shopping.

You can also become a wholesale member. This is the way to go guys. As a wholesale member you get 24% off retail pricing. There are also two ways you can do this: you can purchase a Basic Starter Kit or a Premium Starter Kit. Either one gets you some goodies and a membership – like getting a membership at Costco. I will tell you about the Basic Starter Kit for full disclosure, but honestly the Premium Starter Kit is a way better deal, hands down.

The Basic Kit is $54 and includes a bottle of Stress Away essential oil (a blend of delicious and relaxing oils like lavender, lime and vanilla), a roller ball attachment for it, and some samples. You’ll get samples of Thieves Household Cleaner (plant-based all-purpose cleaning solution, love it) and Ningxia Red (wolfberry juice that has an insane amount of antioxidants), along with some reading information. This will get you the wholesale membership, which gives you the 24% discount! Word.

The Premium Starter Kit (PSK) is $160 and comes with SO MUCH STUFF. Honestly, it’s not even fair. The PSK comes with a diffuser, 11 bottles of essential oils (including Stress Away), and all the samples and accessories and reading material that comes in the Basic Kit. Look how pretty it is:

The oils that come in this kit are (obviously) the best and most useful to get you started. Here they are:

So those are the oils you get. But you also get a DIFFUSER. There are lots of ways to use essential oils, but diffusing them has got to be the most common, practical, and beneficial. It’s called AROMAtherapy because the aroma makes the difference, and inhalation is often the most effective way to benefit from them. Getting one in the starter kit is amazing because you can start using them right away – you don’t need any other equipment or accessories or tools to enjoy them.

Young Living has four diffusers you can choose from. Two of them are part of the $160 PSK – the Dewdrop and the Desert Mist (my personal fave). The Rainstone and Aria diffusers are also available, but will cost you more. My recommendation is the Desert Mist – it can work for a large room, has over 10 light settings (including a FLICKER setting, so cool), intermittent options, the whole shebang. It’s all you’ve ever wanted.

It might be intimidating, but honestly, you are getting $340 worth of stuff for $160. I spent $160 at Target last week on crap I didn’t need. But this is stuff you NEED in your life. For wellness, for support, for fun.
